Random Jobs

Uncategorized No Comments by Hawker180

Australia Day morning for me was spent working on the car before it got too hot. Here is what I got done:
Bolted up External Gate
Cut the Screamer with the Angle Grinder
Attached all the intake Vacuum lines, Fuel Lines, Vacuum guage sensors, Throttle cable etc…
Installed Radiator
Bolted up the knock sensor between cylinder 2 and 3 (as stupid me forgot to install it when the motor was out, this is a pain to get to)
Installed All the oil Cooler lines
And a few days before that I extended all of the wiring on the exhaust side stut tower to the back of the engine bay
Also modded the bonnet hinges so I go’s back further.

Some photos, I think the gate still needs to be trimmer shorter as I think it will hit the ground too much:

Fixing the Loom

Modifications No Comments by Hawker180

As anyone with a Low S13 knows, the loom under the front wheel arch is in the worst spot.
Mine was so bad about 7 or 8 wires were all touching each other. Well Sunday I fixed it up:
too low?

Preparing the engine for installation

Uncategorized No Comments by Hawker180

So It has been along time between posts at the moment. Work has been flat out and I have not had much of a chance to work on my car. But thankfully I have had some time off at christmas. Here are some photos to show what I have been upto:

New turbo bolted up:

Bleeding the oil through the new engine:
So basically you put your 5litres of oil onto this cylinder, put the eng onto the oil pressure sensor add 20-30psi of compressed air to the bottle then release the tap on the cylinder. This primes the engine with oil and will fill

Engine stands are amazing for putting the sump on (Upside down, Upside down):

Today’s Job: Fit the oil cooler onto the engine and put the engine in…wish me luck! Updates soon!

Also I just noticed the Hit counter is almost at 50,000 unique hits which is crazy. I never expected it to get up that high expecially in such a small amount of time
